On plans that include online payments, you can let customers pay an invoice by card through a secure link. Money goes directly to your own Stripe account — RepairBench never holds your funds.

Find your Stripe keys

Log in to your Stripe Dashboard, then open Developers → API keys. You will see two keys you need:

  • Publishable key — begins with pk_live_ (or pk_test_ while testing).
  • Secret key — begins with sk_live_ (or sk_test_). Click Reveal to see it. Keep this private.

Enter them in RepairBench

Go to Settings → Online Payments. Paste your Secret key and Publishable key into the matching fields, tick Enable online invoice payments, and save.

How it works

Once enabled, each unpaid invoice shows a Pay online link — on the invoice screen and in the emailed invoice. The customer pays the invoice total as a one-off charge (no Stripe products to set up), and the invoice is marked paid automatically once Stripe confirms the payment.

Testing first

If you want to trial it, use your Stripe test keys and Stripe's test card numbers, then switch to your live keys when you are ready to take real payments.
