On plans that include online payments, you can let customers pay an invoice with PayPal. Payments go directly to your own PayPal account — RepairBench never holds your funds.

Get your PayPal credentials

Log in at developer.paypal.com, open Apps & Credentials, and create or open an app. Copy the two values shown:

  • Client ID
  • Secret — click to reveal it, and keep it private.

PayPal shows separate Sandbox and Live credentials — use whichever matches the mode you want to run.

Enter them in RepairBench

Go to Settings → Online Payments. Paste your PayPal Client ID and Secret, tick Enable online invoice payments (PayPal), and save. Leave PayPal test mode (sandbox) on while testing, and turn it off when you go live.

How it works

Each unpaid invoice offers a Pay with PayPal option. The customer approves the payment on PayPal and is returned to the invoice, which is marked paid automatically once PayPal confirms it. Card details never touch RepairBench.

Testing first

With sandbox mode on, use your PayPal sandbox test accounts to run a payment end to end, then switch to your live credentials and turn sandbox off.
