Mobile Message is an Australian cloud SMS provider. RepairBench sends straight to its API — no phone required — and you can use a branded Sender ID (your business name or a dedicated number) instead of a SIM number. You pay per message from your Mobile Message credit balance; RepairBench adds no per-message fee.

Step 1 — Create your account

Sign up at mobilemessage.com.au and add some credit.

Step 2 — Get your API credentials

In the Mobile Message dashboard, open the API / integration settings and copy your API username and API password.

Step 3 — Register a Sender ID

Set up the Sender ID your messages will come from — a verified mobile number or a custom business name. Custom alphanumeric Sender IDs must be registered with ACMA (the Australian regulator); this becomes mandatory from 1 July 2026, and Mobile Message walks you through it.

Step 4 — Enter the details in RepairBench

Open Settings → SMS Gateway and tick Enable SMS sending. On the Mobile Message tab, select Use Mobile Message, enter your API username, API password and Sender ID, and click Save settings.

Step 5 — Test and send

Click Test connection & show balance — you should see your credit balance and your registered Sender IDs. Then send a message from any job as usual; it goes out instantly and the status updates to sent.

You can switch back to the handset gateway at any time from the same screen — only the active gateway is used for new messages.
